As the ageing population continues to increase with the modernization of society and the shortened 5-day work week (previously 6-days) has been implemented, the R&D and delivery of a program that helps recover fatigue is in urgent demand.
Thus, after many years of research and development to cultivate exercise rehabilitation methods for recovering fatigue and to stabilize lifestyle and welfare, KERA (Korea Exercise Rehabilitation Association) was founded amongst several members on January 7, 2006.
Exercise rehabilitation is defined as the dynamic process in which an individual with motor disabilities is fully recovered to his/her normal condition through the rehabilitation program. This includes performing various rehabilitation programs to maximize recuperation of motor disability and also utilizing a movement called sports play or equipment play to return the body’s functional abnormalities to its normal state.
Both methods are highly valued as effective recovery measures. Consequently, exercise rehabilitation can be seen as a valuable recovery process that prevents, acts upon and recovers an individual to their normal human state.
